the architectonic project introduces  itself in the place, assuming the building of a new urban polarity (the library) that will reconfigure the relationships and connections within the historic centre of cavriago by defining  a urban interface between zanti square, huge artificial and paved space, place for public and civil meetings, and the hill of saint terenziano, place for religious and private retreat, stretching and increasing the relationship of frution and perception of the historic centre and placing itself as relevant image and space for those who cross the urban place.

the ground floor library configure itself as a transparent place, open, available to be crossed un every direction and simultaneous to the open and public spaces; it contains the double and triple height welcoming spaces, the emeroteque, and exhibition space that extens itself along the street and arrives at the square with an internet café.

the upper embossed floors have the function to protect the glass walls, strengthen the context of new protected routes and are the guarded and sheltered places for study and research, duals to the transparency of the ground floor, entrance hall.
