the layout of the new cultural centre alessandrina city configures itself in continuity with the existing urban texture intended as morphological matrix of the project.

it conforms to the orography of the landscape as a frame, moving toward the construction of a new urban connecting plate that expands the elevation of the neighborhood fabric as horizontal surface of generation of the cultural centre.

this new terrain, conceived as a horizontal bridging slab, makes it possible to identify a basement level (compared to the alessandrino neighborhood) but homogeneous with the priority level of the vallum, containing all the technical service elements of the cultural centre (stairs, services, facilities, storage), as well as public parking and some open spaces (garden-plaza for outdoor concerts).
the spaces of the natatorium facility composed of an indoor and enclosed swimming pool and an outdoor and open swimming pool serving the neighborhood are accessible from the different levels of the cultural center and the alessandrino park.

the same plate transforms the pedestrian level of the neighbourhood into the floor elevation of the cultural centre, intended as a network of public open and transparent spaces on the ground floor, placed 3 meters above the level of the rampart.

the media library tower defines an urban architectural event at the scale of the landscape.
the tower stands in continuity with the foyer of the cultural and educational centre, the true gravitational pole of public spaces, on the transparent double and triple-height spaces that vertically cross the plate.

the interweaving of vertical and horizontal blades creates a urban layer that adheres to the orography of the landscape.
