PRIVATE ENGAGEMENT
the plan introduces movement into the hilly plot as an experiential system for walking and identifying the place.
the paths build a network of potential experiences, morphologically adherent to the existing terraces and superimposed on them like a new skin, a new interpretation, that can enrich and highlight the naturalistic and environmental characteristics.
within this network, the movement of users determines an identification of the same with the place, capable of producing memory. the project both preserves and builds memory: the old bound farmhouse is preserved and recovered with small contemporary inserts, while the warehouse/shed is, from an architectural point of view, a superfetation.
its demolition configures an open space with a threshing-floor and a courtyard behind, protected and level, as an open-air dehors of the historic building.
its surface area and volumetry is subdivided and redistributed on the hill in such a way as to constitute a landscape and environmental system of small wooden houses, 5 “tree” shelters, potentially mobile, adhering to the ground levels, geomorphologically distributed in a radial pattern, suspended in “nature”.
